About Kilkerran & the Glengyle distillery
Kilkerran is the single malt of Glengyle, the Campbeltown distillery revived in 2004 by the Mitchell family who own neighbouring Springbank (the Glengyle name belongs to an unrelated blend, hence the Kilkerran brand). Production is tiny and shares Springbank’s hand-made ethos, so the 12 and 16 year olds, cask-strength batches and heavily peated releases are allocated on release and follow Springbank’s trajectory on the secondary market.
