The Yamazaki 25 Years Old is a well-known Japanese single malt whisky. It’s the high-end bottle of the Yamazaki whiskies. It has won several prices – including the World’s Best Single Malt whisky in 2012. It’s a masterpiece, no doubt… But for investors the most important point of value is it’s increasing rarity. This is a special edition of the famous Hibiki 17 whisky. The Hibiki 17 Years Old Kacho Fugetsu Limited Edition was released in 2015. (Some resources say it’s 2016 but we found multiple validated datapoints from 2015 already.) They released only 600 bottles of it. What makes it special is the beautifully painted bottle. The theme is “Kacho Fugetsu” which refers to the beauty of the Japanese nature.

Macallan Edition No. 1 is the first release of the famous Macallan Edition series. Of course, just by looking at its name, you might realize that it’s a limited edition whisky. It was released in 2015. The well-known distillery of Scotland added a new variation of this whiksy to the series, year by year for 6 years (No. 2 in 2016, No. 3 in 2017, No. 4 in 2018, No. 5 in 2019 and No. 6 in 2020). Macallan Edition 1 is not only special for collectors because of its unique taste and high quality — but also because it was the first of a now well-known and well-liked series.

Macallan’s Archival Series is special. It’s created to celebrate the now well-known Scottish distillery’s print advertisement campaigns back from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s that re-branded Macallan as a single malt whisky. The Macallan Archival Series Folio 5 is one of the highest rated whisky of the series. It comes in a metal case that forms a book. It’s definitely a beautiful collector’s piece — it’s also a limited edition. (We don’t exactly know how many bottles were released though.)

The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2015 is a special edition of the great Japanese single malt whisky brand. It comes in a collector’s bottle. And for investors it might be important to know that from this whisky there were only 10000 bottles released.
