About the Aberfeldy distillery
Aberfeldy was built in 1896 by the Dewar family beside the burn that still supplies its water, and it remains the fingerprint malt at the heart of Dewar’s blends under Bacardi’s ownership. The house style is honeyed and gently waxy. Most production goes to blending, so the aged single-malt statements — 16, 21 and beyond — and occasional single-cask exclusives are the bottlings that surface at auction.
