About the Dalmore distillery
Dalmore has distilled on the Cromarty Firth since 1839, and its royal stag emblem commemorates a 13th-century legend of clan Mackenzie saving King Alexander III from a charging stag. Under master blender Richard Paterson the brand pushed decisively upmarket, with rich sherry-led whiskies and headline-grabbing releases — Constellation vintages, decades-old decanters — that made Dalmore a fixture of the luxury whisky market.
