About Hibiki

Hibiki is Suntory’s blended Japanese whisky line, marrying malt and grain whiskies distilled across the House of Suntory’s own distilleries, including Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Its 24-facet bottle is a deliberate reference to sekki, the 24 micro-seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar, and a cameo for Hibiki 17 in the film Lost in Translation helped introduce the brand to a global audience. When Suntory retired its age-stated Hibiki 12, 17 and 21 in 2018 in favour of the no-age-statement Japanese Harmony — a response to dwindling aged whisky stocks — the discontinued bottlings became scarce almost overnight, which is a large part of why they trade so actively today.
