About the Bowmore distillery
Established in 1779, Bowmore is Islay’s oldest distillery and among the oldest in Scotland. Its house style pairs moderate peat smoke with sherry-cask fruit, and its legendary aged releases — above all the Black Bowmore vintages from the 1960s — rank among the most valuable whiskies ever sold. Now owned by Beam Suntory, Bowmore continues to court the luxury market with high-age statements and the Aston Martin partnership series.
